Food safety involves preventive practices at any point of food-related operations such as receiving, storing, processing, handling, and distributing. It ensures that all operation steps will not have any food safety hazards and that a company is delivering safe food to consumers. Food safety plays an important role in ensuring that contaminants that can cause food-borne illnesses are not present in food. It ensures the health and safety of consumers are protected from any food-related issues.
The four main principles of food safety are to
Clean
Chill
Store
