Do's and Don'ts for 2nd Trimester
The 2nd trimester starts at 13 weeks and ends at 27 weeks of pregnancy.
It is the most comfortable part of pregnancy, 2nd trimester usually brings the least amount of pains, body changes, and unpredictable
emotions with it.
To make this time as easy as possible, here is a list of what is useful and what is harmful during this period.
Do’s for 2nd Trimester
Do regular and timely check-ups with your physician.
Do undergo 2nd-trimester screening/tests
Do get vaccinated
Do eat a balanced diet which is crucial for your baby’s growth and development.
Do eat frequent and small meals
Do ensure regular intake of fluids
Do regular exercises and stay active
Do get lots of rest and sleep
Do moisturize. Use creams and oils over the abdomen to prevent stretch marks.
Don’ts for 2nd Trimester
Don’t take medications without consulting your doctor
Don’t let stress into your life
Don’t participate in dangerous sports
Don’t eat undercooked meat or unpasteurized milk products, to prevent diseases like Toxoplasmosis and Listeriosis.
Don’t consume too much caffeine
Don’t smoke
Don’t drink alcohol
Don’t stay in a toxic environment.
