Starting Your Day Right

A lot of people are less active these days. Exercise is a component of physical activity. It is structured and specifically planned to help develop and maintain fitness.

Types of  exercise to boost your productivity;

  1. Aerobic exercise speeds up the heart rate and breathing. It also increases endurance. Examples include brisk walking, jogging, swimming, cycling, dancing, etc.

  2. Strength training focuses on building or maintaining strength in muscles. It often involves equipment such as resistance bands or machines and lifting weights.

  3. Stretching helps maintain flexibility. It improves mobility, strength, activeness, and balance. Examples include yoga and pilates.

  4. Balance exercises improve balance and general motility. Examples are dancing, tennis, standing on one leg, walking backward, walking on toes, etc.

  5. It is recommended to do at least 150minutes of physical activity a week.

The benefits of engaging in exercises are:

  1. It improves mood and gives an improved sense of well-being.

  2. It aids in weight loss/maintaining a healthy weight. Plays a vital role in bone and muscle maintenance.

  3. Increases energy levels.

  4. Improves brain function.

  5. It is good for the heart.
