Honeydew melon or honeymelon is grown in the northern parts of Nigeria because it thrives in such climate. It is also called yellow melon because of it’s colour.

Like other melons, honeydew melon has a lot of water, which tends to tone down its sweet taste. The fruit is sweet and it’s also loaded with a lot of nutrients, including fibre, potassium, magnesium, folate, vitamin K, and vitamin C.

Honeydew melon also contains antioxidants such as beta-carotene (pro-vitamin A), phytoene, quercetin, lutein, caffeic acid, and zeaxanthin.
